Championships Induction (Trainees)

FRIDAY 27 JUNE

The Championships Induction is a compulsory part of the training programme.  No trainee or BBG can be part of the Championships without attending a pre-Championships Induction

• This session is for all trainees (new and Year 10 recalls) who are still in the training programme at this stage
• The session takes place at the BBG Complex, AELTC, Wimbledon

• You should attend in your school uniform, smartly dressed (NOT PE kit)
• Please bring water with you as it will be warm
• Try to arrive with the minimum please as there are security checks at the gate
• You will need your accreditation now, so please bring it with you
• You should arrive at Gate 13, opposite the AELTC Indoor Tennis Centre, Somerset Road, Wimbledon, SW19 5HS approximately 15minutes prior to the start of the session i.e. 15:00 (early session) and 16:45 (later session)

• The session will include a briefing regarding health and safety matters, a typical day for a BBG at Wimbledon and how teams work
• The main part of the session will involve a tour of the grounds.  You are advised to bring your sun cap with you, as cannot wear other caps on this occasion
• You will also be given your grounds passes on this day
• If you have your combination lock, there will also be an opportunity to note down the combination in the 'locker' booklet, which will be kept securely.  
• I would ask that you do not put padlocks on lockers as yet, as there is still cleanring to take place in the changing rooms
