Please note the following:
- Grounds passes are allocated at random across the days outlined above
- Should the day you have been allocated be difficult for your family, then we will do our best to exchange these on the induction day, but we make no guarantees and it is not possible to accommodate requests for 'weekend tickets' only or any specific day, as you can imagine, this would be a popular request for many families
- You should NOT contact us about any ticket matters; we will only deal with these in person at the Induction sessions, but clearly you should check which day you have been allocated in advance of these sessions
- Under no circumstances must the tickets be exchanged between you and any other BBG. They are numbered and we have a record of who is assigned which ticket numbers. Again where we need to make changes, if possible, we will do this only on the Induction day
- Grounds passes do not give access to any show court. Where you are in a team that goes to either Centre Court or No 1 Court, then it may be possible for your parents (or whomever uses the tickets) to see you once on one (not both) of those courts but strictly only on the day where you have tickets that have been issued by us. The procedure for accessing Centre or No 1 will be explained at a later date, but again we cannot guarantee access as it will depend on the capacity at the time
- Tickets issued in this instance are paper copies and not digital, but you are still required to have photo ID on arrival at the gate
- Where siblings become BBGs, each accepted BBG will be issued one pair of grounds passes, again on random days. Great to have one or more siblings as a BBG; but you will have earned your place individually and therefore we treat you as such.
Finally, please can we politely ask that you and your parents read the information that will be published on the website prior to the Championships regarding how they can see you on court. The BBG Upper Office has many logistical tasks to complete each day and by reading the notes/advice and following the instructions, your parents should be able to be fairly self-sufficient in knowing which court you are on and when; albeit there is no schedule provided in advance for teams each day, this is done on an hourly basis.
Just to note, you cannot use your phone to message parents where you are; use of phones is not permitted during the Championships day, and to ignore this rule would risk your place. We never deny a reasonable request to use your phone; this may be the case if you change team for a day, where some of your team are absent etc, but always ask. This will be explained at the Induction.
Finally, we want your parents/family to enjoy their time at the Championships and enjoy meeting them; but given the volume of BBGs, we would really appreciate questions being kept to a minimum on each day of their visit. It just helps us get on with the key tasks we have.
Many thanks
Miss Goldson
