Recall applicants

RETURNING FOR THE 2026 CHAMPIONSHIPS

A reminder that a 'recall' is a student who has been accepted as a BBG in the past and worked at one or more Championships.

Eligibility:

  • You will need to have been accepted for one of the last two Championships; i.e. 2024 or 2025
  • You should also receive an invite just prior to the website opening on Wednesday 1 October @ 09:00
  • The invite relies on your email on the system being current

Modules and online application:

  • All recalls will need to complete the online modules no later than Friday 31 October @ 18:00.
  • The modules have been updated and reconfigured and now there are only 12 to complete; generally speaking the initial 6 are about knowledge and the second 6 about on court procedures
  • Having completed the modules, you will then be able to access the online application form where you will need to also upload a recent photograph for approval
  • Please do not use old images of yourself; it needs to be an up to date one and remeber you only get three attempts to get this right.

'Other' school:

  • A reminder if you have left your school, you need to apply under 'other' on the list
  • In the absence of a school representative, all communication will be with you directly.

Reselection trials

Year 10:

  • This year group will trial on Sunday 15 March.  Where you are successful, you will rejoin the programme on the 2nd week after the Easter holidays i.e. w/c 20 April
  • Please be sure you can make the necessary commitment to the programme and have full availability for the Championships
  • Any questions, speak to your school reperesentative initially.

Year 11 and above (including 'Year 14'):

  • These year groups will trial on the weekend of 3 and 4 May 2026; with schools being advised closer to the time which day / session they should attend
  • At this time you will also be asked to confirm your availability for the Qualifying and Championships period
  • If you are amongst the older year groups and are considering employment at the Championships, remember it is always good to keep your options open.  Complete the online modules and application just in case, and you can always withdraw at a later date should you wish to
  • Please ensure you are available for the Championships, as otherwise this compromises your reselection, though that is clearly initially determined by your performance on the day
  • If you are unavailable for large parts of the Championships, regardless of whether this is week 1 or week 2, then you should not reapply, as we will not give a place to someone whose availability is this compromised
  • If you are successful at this trial, you get an automatic acceptance to the Championships.  Remember, there are no guarantees for anyone, we can only mark what we see at this session.

We look forward to receiving your application.
