New applicant process


  • Website opens on Thursday 5 October (09:00)
  • Register as a new applicant unless you have applied previously when you should use your existing user ID/password
  • If you have forgotten your existing User ID or password, then please use the relevant links for a reminder
  • Modules 1-8 must then be completed by the deadline shown
  • Do not leave this until the last minute, there are no exceptions to the deadline
  • The 'contact us' link can be used if you have any issues

Section now CLOSED as the module deadline has passed.


  • Having passed the relevant number of modules, the application form must then be completed online by the deadline shown
  • Please ensure you enter your information accurately and do not duplicate information unnecessarily
  • The application form also requires you to upload a passport style photo of yourself
  • You only have three attempts to have this photo approved; so read the instructions before attempting any upload
  • Do not save any images as 'placeholders', these will automatically be assessed and approved/rejected as necessary
  • Where a photo is approved, you will get a reason why and should follow the instructions carefully before uploading your next attempt

  • Once your application has been completed, it will be in the 'applied' status
  • Your school representative then needs to decide whether you will be one of the nominated candidates for your school who attends the selection trial in January
  • The school representative can also nominate a reserve(s) but this student(s) will only attend in the event that a nominated candidate cannot due to injury/illness
  • Nominated and reserve candidates will receive a hard copy of their personal information form (PIF)
  • This form should be signed by you (the applicant), a parent and your school representative and returned by the deadline shown
  • Please note, we do not accept signatures that contain a first name only or just initials and forms must only be returned by the methods outlined on the form itself

  • Nominated and reserve candidates will then receive a hard copy of their personal information form (PIF)
  • This form should be signed by you, the applicant, a parent and your school representative
  • The deadline for return of this form is Tuesday 9 January (18:00)
  • Candidates should be clear that they cannot hand these forms in by hand to any gate at the AELTC, your application will be rejected if you attempt to do so
  • Forms must be returned by post to the address shown or may be delivered by hand by the school representative only at Gate 1D
  • Please note, we do not accept signatures that contain a first name only or just initials
  • The selection trial takes place on the weekend of 13/14 January, with each school being allocated one of the four 2 hour sessions.
