SATURDAY 2 & SUNDAY 3 MAY
Thanks for confirming your intention to attend or your confirmation that you are withdrawing. There are a small handful of people who have done neither and on that basis, I have withdrawn you as need to know the numbers we are dealing with for planning purposes and the request to confirm was issued some time ago.

Please note the following:
- All sessions are taking place at AELTC Community Sports Centre, 170 Grand Drive, London, SW20 9NB
- Access to the site for the morning session is from 09:20 and the afternoon session 13:20; please do not gather in the Club House prior to that point, as we are required to supervise you and the staff team will not be available prior to that time
- Sign in and allocation of temporary numbers for the trial is in the BBG Studio from 09:20 or 13:20 depending on your session time. All recalls should be on site, no later than 15 minutes prior to the start of your session
- Please ensure you are dressed appropriately in practical/PE kit and have a bottle of water with you. You are also reminded of the basic standards we expect in this regard; shirt tucked in, laces double knotted, hair out of your eyes, no jewellery, make up or chewing. These details can make the difference between gaining a place or not and are simply a matter of discipline and preparation
- Team allocation will not be availabe in advance. Remember we are assessing you as individials but looking for you to work together to be as efficient as possible.
AVAILABILITY
- On arrival, you will also be asked to confirm your availability for both the Qualifying (where your school and exams permit) and the Championships
- We reserve the right to withdraw an offer of a place, where you subsequently change your availability significantly, after having been accepted
FINALLY
- A reminder that you are assessed purely on what you deliver on the day and it is easy to judge yourself in comparison to others at the session you attend, but we see all four sessions and often some sessions can significantly surpass others in terms of the standard we see. It is down to you to drive yourself to your highest level
- Do not under estimate the challenge this trial represents and ensure you prepare thoroughly; in terms of knowledge, skills and court performance
- The set pieces will be tested on court i.e. ball change, tie break, suspended play, resumption of a match, end of match, player warm up etc. The details matter!
- Your skills need to be consistent in terms of accuracy and neatness
- We always want urgency, but not at the expense of neatness. We know you want to demonstrate how much gaining a place means to you, but we are looking for calm and control; do not allow your performance to drift into being frenzied
- Lastly, those who really excel at these trials go largely unnoticed by working efficiently and effectively and equally prioritise the player at all times. We are looking for excellence and more often than not this is achieved by doing the basics very well.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
