Selection sessions

SELECTION

Selection takes place in January at the AELTC Community Sports Ground, 216 Grand Drive, London, SW20 9NB.  Please check the relevant link for further details on the location of this venue.

Only those students who are nominated by their school representative should attend selection.  A reserve would attend in the event that a nominated candidate is injured or unwell on the day.  The reserve status is not relevant after this stage.

The selection trials for 2023 will take place on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 January 2023.  Each school has been allocated to ONE session as shown below.  Only candidates who are NOMINATED and have returned a correctly signed personal information form by Tuesday 10 January at 18:00 are eligible to attend the trial.

• Each of the trial sessions are 2 hours 
• You should not arrive more than 30mins prior to the start of your session as will not be admitted entrance to the dome, but should be there at least 15mins prior to the start of the session
• You will be met near the car park and directed to the relevant indoor dome
• Do not be late, as you will not be able to make up the marks you have lost having missed various tasks/drills
• You will be given a number to wear during the trial, ensure this is pinned to your front, with one pin in each corner
• You should arrive in your PE kit, bringing indoor shoes with you
• Hair should be tied up (away form your face), laces double knotted, shirt tucked in and you should not be wearing jewellery or make up
• Please bring water with you and any medication you will need e.g. inhaler
