ASSESSMENT

A reminder you will be assessed in four areas during this session:

  • Fitness - you need to be physically fit enough to last the warm up and the stand at the end, as well as complete speed tests as fast as possible.  These may include the 'star run' and the illinois agility test' which can be viewed below
  • Knowledge - you will be required to complete a multiple-choice test based on the theory you have learnt from the modules 1-8.  Make sure you review these before the day
  • Skills - you will be asked to complete a series of drills/practices that check your ability to carry out feeding to a specific point and varying distances, plus rolling and receiving; again over different distances and some rolling will be on the move
  • Court work - on a full tennis court, you will be asked to adopt the role of base or centre as a match is played.  The focus will be adopting the correct position on court, ensuring the balls are at the correct end, remaining still during the point and not rolling until the point is over, and reacting quickly at the end of a point.
